A natural home birth is safe. It's true! Women are most likely to labor best in a place where they feel free, safe, and private, with attendants whom they know and trust.

Educate yourself. Look at the studdies and the stats. You might be surprised to find that, on average, a midwife assisted natural birth may result in less chance of complications, fewer interventions, and a healthier birth for you and for your baby.

We first decided to look into home births when some of our friends had done it and LOVED the experience. Plus were not fans of hospitals so that was a huge bonus.

At first we were still a little nervous about a home birth but then we met with Janae and she made us feel very comfortable and put us at ease. We loved the appointments being at Janaes house where we felt at home and at ease and our little girls could play with her cute little girls. Throughout the entire process Janae was always very supportive of all our questions and did a great job educating us on each step of the pregnancy and labor. Then the fun part began with one false labor in the middle of the night before the real thing two days later at 2am. It was a little blurry but we didn’t have to worry about a thing, Janae rushed over to our house and took care of everything. Before I knew it she had made the labor bed and was putting warm towels on me every minute. We loved that she let us take control and do whatever felt comfortable at the time and two hours later she went to pop my water and he came out with it and our beautiful little Mason was brought into this world.
